Katrina Venturina

Katrina Venturina is an experienced nonprofit and philanthropy professional with more than fifteen years in and around the sector. Most recently, she was a Manager in BDO FMA's Nonprofit & Grantmaker Advisory practice, where she advised nonprofits and philanthropic institutions on building their financial management acumen and organizational capacity. Her work spanned financial due diligence and trends analysis to guide grantmaking decisions, strategic planning and financial projections, funder training, and board governance—alongside co-leading service development and national business development for the practice.

Katrina began her career at Weill Cornell Medicine, coordinating clinical research across multiple studies and federally funded trials, before moving into philanthropy at the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, where she helped manage the Medical Research Program's grantmaking portfolio and led the launch of a new grant mechanism from landscape analysis through grantee selection. She joined BDO FMA in 2019 and advanced from Consultant to Manager, deepening her focus on equitable, data-informed grantmaking practices.

Katrina holds an M.S. in Fundraising and Grantmaking from New York University, where she served as Articles Editor for Philanthropy NYU, and a B.A. in Spanish for International Services with a minor in Philosophy from The Catholic University of America. A native New Yorker, she currently resides in Queens.
